Footdrop - a new treatment
Dropfoot is a condition where a person cannot move their ankle upward. This makes it cery difficult to walk with out some sort of leg brace. There is a surgery that is over 100 years old that is growing in popularity today to repair the foot drop. It consists of moving tendons and muscle around to compensate for the nerve injury causing the condition in the first place. Most doctors have never heard of these procedures even though a thirty minute surgical procedure can completely change someones life when they are struggling with this condition.

Osseointegration is not a new science, dental implants have used the idea of mending metal screws to bone and then applying a fake tooth for over 50 years. The use of this technique for attaching limb prosthetics is relatively new in the United States but has been long used in Europe.
This technology gives an amputee a significant advantage over the use of a typical prosthetic device specifically related to how the prosthetic attached to the amputation area.
